The Root Of It All

Historic Rice Mill

17 Lockwood Dr Unit 101
Charleston, SC 29401

Join us in celebrating the past, present, and future of Black food culture. Presented by the SC Department of Agriculture and curated with James Beard nominated, KJ Kearney (Black Food Fridays) and Chef Kevin Mitchell, we’ll feature an evening of storytelling rooted in the history as well as the future of Black food – from the farms where it grows to the kitchens where it glows. The beverage lineup will further amplify the dinner’s cultural significance with a selection of wine, beer, and spirits.
