Tori Schumacher

Tori Schumacher was promoted to Executive Chef at The Ordinary in 2021. A culinary graduate of Johnson and Wales, Tori worked in kitchens in Colorado, Rhode Island, Germany, Durham, and San Francisco before landing in Charleston under the tutelage of Chef Mike Lata. Tori cites his time cooking with Chefs Ben Barker (Magnolia Grill) and Gary Danko (Restaurant Gary Danko) as incredibly formative in building his career, honing his technique, and igniting his love for the craft of cooking.

Now at the helm of the kitchen at The Ordinary, Tori is passionate about honoring the hard work of our local purveyors by creating food that is approachable, delicious, and part of a truly memorable dining experience.
