Setrini Sison

Born in the Philippines, Chef Setrini Sison moved to Charleston with his parents at the age of 9 making the Low Country his home. Shortly after graduating high school, Setrini moved to Chicago and attended College of DuPage to start his culinary career. Sison became sous chef at Mario Batali’s Eataly and continued to grow his experience until finally moving back to Charleston in 2016 to work at Cypress as sous chef under Chef Craig Deihl. In 2019, Setrini decided to branch out and begin his own pop-up restaurant called Bok Choy Boy Asian Fusion celebrating the cuisines of Korea, the Philippines, Japan, and Macau. Look for his pop-ups throughout the month at local Charleston breweries, as well as a monthly kitchen takeover at Spanglish Cocina + Bar.
