Paula Kramer
Years of Participation
2022-2025
Paula Kramer is the co-owner of cult favorite Charleston bakery, Baguette Magic with sister Samantha Kramer. Growing up she was passionate about two things, horses and entrepreneurship.
In 2017 Paula moved back to her hometown of Charleston, SC. While working to rise through the ranks in restaurant marketing Paula hustled, working on a local food truck and eventually found herself in a dining room, across the pass from chef and sister Samantha Kramer. Working together seemed to suit the sisters and in November 2019, when the opportunity arose to buy a local bakery and cafe, they dove right in and have grown into two retail locations and a wholesale operation. Baguette Magic was voted Best Bakery in both Charleston papers for the past four years among other accolades.
In July of 2023, Paula opened restaurant Kultura with husband Nikko Cagalanan. Kultura, a Filipino food concept, also hosts monthly events collaborating with guest chefs from around the country. The goal of Kultura is to highlight good food and the roots of the people who make it.
Paula also founded ROXA Desserts, a petite dessert concept with friend Heather Hutton in 2024. The duo host pop ups and do catering while looking for a space to call home.
Paula can be found at the shop finishing sandwiches on the line, rolling croissants, or with laptop in hand. She is passionate about the future growth of Baguette Magic, welcoming guests into Kultura & tiny desserts, content creation, her elderly weiner dog and spending time at the stables indulging in her love of horses.
