An entrepreneur at heart, Michelle has spent nearly 20 years building high-performing teams, portfolios, and practices within the field of marketing and public relations through in-house and agency roles alike. While relatively new to the food and beverage industry, a strong background in event planning and obsessive attention to flavor, perfect bites and culinary experience has led to considerable success in co-founding The Cheese Shop with her husband Stevie in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Together, the two have built an innovative cheese shop business model that extends across retail, B2B, as well as an award-winning, pop up, 6-course cheese and wine dinner concept. The Cheese Shop will expand to an 1,800 sf location in Carrboro, NC in the summer of 2024. In her role, Michelle oversees the day-to-day operations and growth of the business and enthusiastically contributes to menu development as time permits. Otherwise, she delights in the opportunity to bring the communications rigor of her agency life to her own small business in the bustling town of Carrboro, NC.
