Matthew Daughaday is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. After finishing his program, he moved back home to St. Louis, MO to take a Job at Niche Restaurant for Chef Gerard Craft. After working up the line to the Sous Chef position, he moved over to another one of Chef Craft’s restaurants, Taste by Niche, to take over the role of Executive Chef. During his tenure he was able to establish Taste as one of the premier restaurants in the city. After serving at the helm of Taste Chef Matthew opened his own restaurant, Reeds American Table, which ran as one of the city’s top restaurants for the four years he kept it open. After closing his restaurant in 2019 he moved over to Juniper Restaurant. While serving as the Chef he was able to establish Junipers fried chicken one of the best in the USA named by Eater Magazine. Since then, he has moved on to take on the Executive Chef of the 21c Museum Hotel slated to open in St. Louis in early 2023.
