variety of kitchens as a young adult, Marissa stayed close to home and honed her craft at the
Culinary Institute of America. Since graduating, she has worked as a pastry chef for the
renowned Peninsula Grill, created new ice cream sandwich flavors and managed multiple
locations for Peace Pie, and has recently been named the Executive Pastry Chef at Uptown
Hospitality. She is currently hard at work preparing for the unveiling of Uptown Hospitality’s
two new concepts, “Bodega” and “Sharehouse” that are set to open in Charleston at the start of
2022.
