While growing up in Newport News, Virginia, chef Jamie Barnes often experimented in the kitchen and watched family members cook. After attending JWU Charlotte campus , Jamie would go on to work at various restaurants honing his skill and would later branch on his own to open a popular food truck , What The Fries. ( Which is now a brick and mortar ) Jamienhad been featured on Cooking Channel and cooked at prestigious James Beard House. Aside from What The Fries He also serves as Chef for popular Pop Up series Serving The Culture
