Israel Buendia Veloz is currently one of the Events Sales Managers and a vital part of the Catering and Events team at the Four Seasons Hotel, Washington D.C.

Born and raised in Mexico, Israel started his love and passion for food at home and it grew during every travel experience he had. In Oaxaca, one of Mexico's riches culinary states Israel discovered his love for chocolate after learning the process and craftsmanship of creating chocolate, considered "Beverage of gods" by Mexico's pre-Hispanic civilizations.

Israel pursued his career in food and beverage attending the Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte and Le Cordon Bleu Mexico City, where he obtained his bachelor's in Business and Culinary Arts. After Graduating Israel moved to Miami where he had the amazing opportunity to work for Chef Daniel Boulud and started his career. After learning from a talented team and great mentors Israel ventured up north and moved to Washington D.C. where he started his professional career at the only five-star five-diamond hotel in the nation's capital.
