Fraser McLachlan

Years of Participation

Growing up in the most southern grape growing region of the world, Fraser’s youth was spent developing the family vineyard estates in Central Otago. The long days spent breaking in the ground, building the vineyard infrastructure, and planting and tending to the vines ingrained a passion for grape growing that has brought him back into the family wine business.

The law and accounting degrees earned at Otago University, along with the six-year professional career with KPMG, have provided the skills required for Fraser to oversee the operations of both Peregrine Wines and Mohua Wines.

In its short history, Peregrine Wines has been an impressive high achiever with its wines winning numerous prestigious awards and trophies around the world. The quest for quality in all aspects is the hallmark of Peregrine and is evidenced by the global acclaim for their wines and the highest international architectural accolades for their beautiful wing spanned winery.

Fraser is passionate about all things outdoors, and living in New Zealand provides ample opportunity to enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits in the rugged and beautiful mountains of his beloved Central Otago, and numerous sports on, or in, the water.
