Chef/Owner/Mother, Fan-Fan Doughnuts, La Newyorkina (New Concept coming Fall 2022)

As the country’s most authoritative voice on Mexican sweets, Fany Gerson, has been featured in The New York Times, Food & Wine, Fine Cooking, Saveur, and Fast Company…among others. She is the chef, founder and co-owner of acclaimed La Newyorkina, an artisanal Mexican frozen treats and sweets business as well as Fan-Fan Doughnuts, an artisan gourmet doughnut shop. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Fany has worked in a range of fine dining kitchens around the world including three-Michelin starred Akelarre in Spain and Eleven Madison Park in New York. She has written three books, James Beard Nominated My Sweet Mexico, Paletas and Mexican Ice Cream. Fany takes great pride in representing both her cultural heritage, Mexican, and religion, Juediasm, in all that she does.
