A nationally recognized pastry chef and baker, Eric Wolitzky currently serves as executive pastry chef of Fifth Group Restaurants, where he oversees the pastry programs at popular Atlanta concepts including South City Kitchen, Ecco, La Tavola Trattoria, The Original El Taco, Lure and Alma Cocina.

Before leading the pastry team at Fifth Group Restaurants, Wolitzky led both the baker and pastry programs at Atlanta’s Cakes & Ale and The Bakery at Cakes & Ale. During his tenure, he received praise from Bon Appétit for his desserts, earned a spot on Food & Wine's "The People's Best New Pastry Chef” list and was named a "Rising-Star Pastry Chef to Watch" by Atlanta Magazine. Wolitzky gained national notoriety for his appearance on Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts” and, before moving to Atlanta, he worked at Baked in Brooklyn, NY, where he specialized in presenting a modern take on classic American desserts.

Raised in a family of bakers, the native New Yorker began working at bakeries in his teens and holds a culinary degree from the French Culinary Institute as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama and a Master in Arts in Performance and Cultural Studies from New York University.
