Crystal Robinson Miles was born and raised in Batesburg-Leesville, SC and currently serves as the Head Chef of Uptown Social. She has always known cooking was her passion from a young age and grew up watching her mom and grandmother in the kitchen who taught her how to cook from the heart.

She gets a great sense of pride every time she’s able to see the reaction and response when someone tries something new or old from her kitchen for the first time. After graduating from Francis Marion University, she decided to pursue her passion and went back to school for Culinary Arts in Charlotte, NC. She has trained under many great chefs at various restaurants whose lessons have molded her into the chef she is today. That road led her to Charleston, SC for a change of pace and scenery where she started with Uptown Hospitality Group in 2022. She’s now made her home at Uptown Social and looks forward to the future with this company.
