A Charlotte, North Carolina native, Cameron caught the cooking bug at the age of 15 where he got his start washing dishes and shucking oysters at a Southend raw bar. After being promoted to line cook he fell in love with everything the kitchen had to offer. After attending Central Piedmont Community College for Culinary Arts and working in a number of restaurants, Cameron moved to Charleston, SC following the city's culinary boom where he served as Sous Chef at Oak Steakhouse and The Ordinary. Working for chefs like Jeremiah Bacon and Mike Lata really helped Cameron mature and dial in his technique. Having joined forces with his friend Cory Burke, owner and chef of Roti Rolls food truck, he helped manage the beloved local favorite, The Green Door, where he was able to experiment with flavors from around the world. Now, partnering up with his girlfriend Alton Ankersen and Cory Burke, to expand Roti Rolls to Atlanta, Cameron is taking the reins in Charleston, fusing local ingredients with International techniques to continue making Roti Rolls the best food truck in Charleston.
