Christopher Rausch

Originally from Germany, Christopher “Chris” speaks fluent German and specializes in its cuisine. His grandmother’s recipe for Flammkuchen (a dreamy flatbread of prosciutto, béchamel, red onion, arugula and parmesan) has found a beloved spot on the Hamby Menu Collection.

Christopher joined the Hamby kitchen in 2010 as part of the culinary support team. He subsequently honed and crafted his leadership and culinary skillset at various local restaurants including ‘Cesca, Al Di La and Triangle Char Bar. With over 15 years of experience under his belt, Chris rejoined Team Hamby as a Sous Chef in 2016. In 2018, he was promoted to Executive Sous Chef. These experiences have combined to establish the groundwork for his current role as Hamby’s Executive Chef, where he is responsible for assisting banquet events and tastings, as well as managing kitchen operations and staff.

From creating the menu to upholding the level of quality Hamby is known for, he bridges together the different departments of the company ensuring fluidity among all branches. Christopher’s talent and individual flare bring even more uniqueness to the catering culture, providing food our clients love. Christopher has a particular talent for artful plate-ups, which shines through in many of the styled shoots that Team Hamby is invited to collaborate on.
