Brett Common is from Chelsea, Michigan. He started cooking in 2016 at Eastern Standard, in Boston, Mass, where he worked as a busser, food runner, room service attendant, doorman, prep cook, line cook, and kitchen manager. It was crazy. Shortly after moving to Charleston, he worked with Henry Jones and Cynthia Wong in the bakery at Butcher & Bee. He made many mistakes and told very bad jokes, but also learned how to bake bread. He followed Jones to Renzo, and the rest is history.
