While cutting her teeth in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ashley Kegu began her hospitality career in the front-of-house. Being driven by curiosity and dedication, Ashley was accepted into an apprenticeship program in Colorado and began working at Ski Tip Lodge, an Open Table's Top 100 Restaurant. She quickly worked her way into becoming the Sous Chef at the award-winning Keystone Resort restaurant. Fulfilling the desire for new inspiration, she landed in Charleston, South Carolina and immediately began working at Leon’s Fine Poultry and Oyster Shop in 2018. Realizing her leadership potential, the owners of Leon’s offered her the Chef de Cuisine position at their new Italian restaurant Melfi's.
