Andrew Ross first opened The Whale :: A Craft Beer Collective in Asheville North Carolina with his business partner Jesse Van Note in 2017. The Whale set out to bring old school beer, newer trends in fermentation, and hype liquids together in an approachable, friendly, and elevated environment. The Whale has been fortunate enough to host many Cantillon Zwanze Day’s, collaborate with breweries all over the country and been voted Top 10 Beer Bars in the country by USA Today and Number 11 in World by Craft Beer and Brewing. Now with 4 locations throughout the Carolinas, The Whale is continuing to bring the love of fermentation to the people. PROST!
