Amarys Koenig-Herndon + Jordan Herndon

Amarys Koenig-Herndon and Jordan Herndon are business and life partners and together the two co-own and operate Palm&Pine, a vibrant restaurant on the edge of New Orleans’ historic French Quarter that serves up the cuisines and culinary traditions of “the South and south of that” (think Louisiana and the southern states, the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America). Amarys and Jordan opened Palm&Pine in the Summer of 2019 and since have been serving guests a progressive and soulful take on New Orleans flavors, alongside beautiful cocktails from the restaurant’s Pine Bar -serving an agave and cane spirit program with classic and original cocktails, New World wines, and regional craft and Latin American beers.

Amarys and Jordan are making a name for themselves within New Orleans’ restaurant scene as they serve bold and bright dishes with exceptional service through a unique concept that leaves guests feeling as if they are stepping into a whole new era of New Orleans cuisine. The duo is an example of the next generation of New Orleans chefs, taking New Orleans’ food traditions to the next level and they are at the forefront of a refreshing shift in independent restaurant experiences for both the service industry and guests that has taken place over the last couple of years.
