Years of Participation

Aaron comes in to the food and wine festival as a newcomer to the world of Charleston culinary, but he brings with him 20 plus years of food and bev experience. Starting as a teenager, he landed a summer job as a grill cook working for premier parks cooking and organizing large scale corporate picnics at Six Flags Darien Lake in Darien, NY. Eventually this led to working with Metropolitan Entertainment working various positions doing backstage catering for major concert events. During college, he made his way through various wing joints and pizza kitchens as well as concessions work across western New York. But it wasn't until he made the move south that the service industry became a career focus. Starting as a fry cook with cafe enterprises, he quickly climbed the ranks to kitchen manager, and culinary trainer before being promoted to general manager. However, his passion has always been in the kitchen and in October of 2018 he joined the staff at Bay Street Biergarten with aspirations for a productive and rewarding career.
