2024-2025
Chef Tiore didn’t really know it when her mom gave her a Play-Doh cooking set, but food has always been intriguing to her. As she watched her grandfather pick vegetables from the garden in their backyard, she witnessed each ingredient become a family meal with not only great flavor, but an amazing story. behind it. It was difficult for her to continue to observe from afar, so she begged over the years to just have a hand at helping out in the kitchen. As years rolled on, and shortly after her induction into the working world, she found ways to create somewhat fancy, yet, cost effective meals with minimal ingredients, while her peers opted for ready-made meals for convenience. After a while, the world of celebrity chefs and creativity with food was highlighted on network television and she became more fascinated with the idea of also diving into her love of food and cooking, full time. Chef Tiore gained her training through a French culinary school, an apprenticeship in Paris and over eight years of experience in catering, hotel, and fine dining restaurants. These experiences, through travel and mentorship, matured into a true appreciation and reverence for the food she longed to create. As a teacher, turned professional chef, she married her two loves and became a skilled culinary instructor. “At the end of the day, I just want to make cooking easy and fun.” After teaching in low income areas, witnessing food deserts and identifying the need to fight against obesity and other health challenges caused by poor eating habits, Chef Tiore’s mission has been fueled with intention to give everyone and anyone, from novice to experienced cook, an opportunity to gain helpful hints, try out new and exciting flavor profiles, and bring their love for food back to every table, just as her grandfather taught her as a little girl in his big country kitchen.
