Erin Harris is a seasoned and accomplished professional in the wine industry, representing Santa Margarita USA, a premier importer of Italian estate wines in America. Her background in wine is deeply ingrained, as her late father worked in the vineyards of Southern France and had a successful career as a highly educated and respected professional in the field.
Erin’s passion for wine was ignited at a young age, as she was exposed to the renowned wine regions of Napa and Sonoma at the age of 10 and Champagne, France at the age of 11. She further nurtured her knowledge and understanding of wine through her travels as a young adult, traversing the wine regions of Italy, Spain, and France. After completing her studies at the University of South Carolina, she moved to New York City at the age of 23, later returned home to distribute fine wines in South Carolina and now residing in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Erin is a highly educated wine professional, having received education from The Society of Wine Educators, and holds certifications from The Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirits Education Trust of London through Johnson and Wales. She stays abreast of the latest trends and developments in the industry by regularly visiting wine regions around the world. Currently, Erin holds the position of District Manager for Virginia and the Carolinas for Santa Margarita USA, where she brings her extensive knowledge, passion, and experience to the role, and ensures that the wines she represents are of the highest quality and truly reflect their terroir.
