POSITION TITLE: Talent Liaison, Signature Events
REPORTS TO: Guest Experience Coordinator, Talent Managers
TERM: March 4-8, 2020
OVERVIEW:
The Signature Event Talent Liaisons will work closely with both the Guest Experience Coordinator and Talent Managers in a customer service + logistics-focused role. These individuals will be front-line contacts for participating talent, Partners, exhibitors, and media in a working check-in capacity at ancillary Signature Events.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work with Charleston Wine + Food’s Guest Experience Coordinator and Talent Managers in a dual-department role focused on participator access
Develop extensive knowledge of approved festival credentials; able to communicate clearly to volunteers + participants
Manage working check-in at ancillary Signature Events, including but not limited to: distributing wristbands, supervising access within the event space, and capturing working attendance data
Have an extensive knowledge of the event layout, including but not limited to best points of access for load-in and chef / beverage station placements on-site
Work independently and make decisions as necessary to provide an exceptional participant experience
Exhibits excellent customer service skills
Familiarity with the talent landscape a plus; able to communicate clearly + effectively to those participating in the festival
Acts as a brand representative of Charleston Wine + Food and portrays our values of people first, community, diversity, and good stewardship
Recognizes + uses our higher purpose as a guide in every decision made on behalf of the festival: to be a catalyst for connections that inspire curiosity through thoughtful storytelling and meaningful experiences with a sense of place
REQUIREMENTS:
Be present on-site at the festival March 4-8, 2020
Attend staff training session(s) (date(s) to be determined)
This position requires working full days (up to 10+ hours/day) during the festival week (March 4-8)
Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings + weekend hours
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for up to 8 hours
Use of personal vehicle during the festival required
Able to work quickly, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of people and problem-solve under pressure
Comfortable working in an outdoor setting (rain, cold, heat, mud)
Use of personal cell phone that is able to access the internet and run cloud based apps
