Wynne Peterson-Nedry

Years of Participation

Wynne was just six months old when her family signed the papers on the original property that would become Ridgecrest Vineyards. Years later, she personally hand-labeled most of the first release 1990 Ridgecrest Vineyards Pinot Noir. Growing up, she worked at the winery after school, during college breaks, and over several summers. She graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in chemistry in 2002 and quickly set out to explore the world. Realizing her heart was in the winemaking industry, Wynne enrolled in graduate school at University of California Davis, earning her Masters’ degree in Viticulture & Enology in 2008. Wynne worked harvests around the world including two vintages in New Zealand, one in Burgundy, and one in California before officially joining the Chehalem team as assistant winemaker in June of 2009. In 2012, she became Chehalem’s winemaker.
