Tammy fell in love with baking after taking a job at a local, gluten-free bakery in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a homeschool mom of three high school aged children looking for a little socialization for herself and was offered a position working the lunch counter at Dempsey Bakery. Within a few months, she was presented with the opportunity to learn the art and science of baking delicious, gluten free breads and desserts. Learning to bake for a community with special dietary needs gave her a passion for also learning how food can heal. Working for a small, locally owned business gave her a desire to know her community and help grow small businesses. After moving back home to South Carolina, she looked for a job where she could continue to learn new techniques in baking and meet the needs of the community through a local business. She found that in working with DaVee Keesee and the rest of the team at Little Peanut Bake Shop!
