Growing up in a small town on the outskirts of Raleigh, NC, Pastry Chef Shannon Lee moved slightly west to attend Johnson & Wales University – Charlotte. With an Associate’s Degree in Baking & Pastry Arts, a Bachelor’s in Food Service Management, and a MBA from East Carolina University, she has always strived to find opportunities that combine her passion of the food industry with her love of the business world. Lee has almost a decade of experience in luxury hospitality working at Kiawah Island Golf Resort as the Executive Pastry Chef. Loving the ever-evolving industry, Lee strives to find a balance in simplicity and innovation when creating her desserts. She has always enjoyed being a sweet part of life’s celebrations for those in and out of work, and would always find time to bake “off the clock”. Chef Lee’s sweetest creation arrived in 2022 with the arrival of her son, which allowed her to pivot in her career and start her own venture – Baking Shananigans. Servicing the Charleston area and beyond, you’ll be treated to a bite of Lee’s wedding cakes, celebration cakes, party desserts, and much more!
