Shane Stark has over 22 years of Executive Chef experience, ranging from one of Aspen’s oldest restaurants, Mother Lode, two locations of an upscale sushi restaurant, Kenichi, a unique Austin barbecue and live music venue, Uncle Billy‘s Brew & Que, and one of Austin’s most celebrated boutique restaurants, Paggi House. Now as owner and operator of Mongers Market + Kitchen, he is setting the bar for providing the freshest seafood in town, not only to diners on the Kitchen side, but to other restaurants and patrons from the Market side. His newest venture, Alley Cat, is a natural extension of and sibling to Mongers. Featuring Hawaiian inspired soul food that you would find along the beach shacks in the islands. He has had the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the restaurant that have allowed his abilities and commitment as Executive Chef and Owner to extend far beyond the kitchen and garden.
