In 2016, Sergio and his wife Audrey, born and raised in Belgium, left everything behind and packed up their two young kids to embark on an American adventure. Their aim was to introduce the authentic taste of Belgium waffles and customize them in a fun and unique way. Sweet Belgium was born!

After 10 years as General Manager in the event and food industry in Brussels, Sergio decided to make use of his expertise to create a Belgian catering and event company in South Carolina. With Audrey's marketing background, the Belgian couple makes the perfect team.

They are aiming at developing the brand even more... Because waffle is the new doughnut.
