Sean Bendig

Chef Sean Bendig joined The Dewberry in 2021, bringing with him more than fifteen years of culinary experience and a passion for luxury hospitality. After getting his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts & Nutrition Chef Bendig began his career as a Chef Apprentice at The Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PA. From there Chef Bendig moved south to Charleston where he had the privilege of working at Indigo Road Hospitality under three-time James Beard Award nominees, Chef Jeremiah Bacon and Chef Jacob Huder. Chef Bendig served as Sous Chef at both The Macintosh and Oak Steakhouse. During his time developing his talents, Chef Bendig developed a flair for Asian and South American cuisine which he has brought to The Dewberry with the goal of menu expansion and continuing to realize The Dewberry’s ethos of Southern ReimaginedTM.
