Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Ross Merriman is the East Coast Marketing Manager for Cathead Distillery, Mississippi’s first and oldest distillery. While studying Managerial Finance at the University of Mississippi, Ross discovered his passion for the food and beverage industry through various side jobs and internships, including stints at Five Seasons Brewery & Chops Lobster Bar in Atlanta, GA as well as fine-dining establishment 208 Restaurant in Oxford, MS. Through a serendipitous encounter at the Oxford-based restaurant in 2010, Ross met Cathead Distillery Co-Founder Richard Patrick and expressed his interest in working with the growing craft distillery one day.

In 2011, Ross officially joined the Cathead Distillery team as the Georgia Market Manager. Ten years later, Ross is an integral part of the Cathead family and a jack of all trades—managing all East Coast sales efforts, supervising the marketing team, and overseeing all business/distributor management. He enjoys not only representing a company with an authentic mission and strong philanthropic ties, but also one that provides the opportunity to meet and connect with folks from all walks of life.

When Ross isn’t networking at one of Atlanta’s top bars or restaurants, you can find him sipping on his favorite Cathead spirits while jamming to live music at a concert.
