Parker Milner is the Food Editor of The Post and Courier, where he has led the newsroom’s Food & Dining section for three years. Parker wrote for several local publications before joining The Post and Courier, including Eater, Charleston City Paper and Charleston Magazine. Before that, he graduated from Boston College and spent seven years as a professional hockey player in the New York Islanders, Minnesota Wild and Washington Capitals organizations.

Parker joined the journalism field after his professional hockey career brought him to Charleston. Initially drawn to journalism because of a passion for writing, storytelling and food, Parker’s work is driven by the people who make South Carolina’s restaurant, culinary and agriculture industries so vibrant. That mission comes to life through his restaurant reviews, feature stories and premium newsletter, Charleston’s Menu, geared toward adventurous diners who are eager to explore hard-to-find restaurants and food trucks across the Charleston area.
