Matt Ward





Matthew Ward is now at the helm of Rutledge Cab Company as their new Executive Chef. Most recently, Matt was the Chef de Cuisine at the highly acclaimed Culinary Vegetable Institute at The Chef’s Garden in Milan, Ohio. While there, Matt was able to hone his craft alongside some of the country’s most notable chefs. Locally, Matt was employed by Patrick Properties Hospitality Group as the Sous Chef at Fish under French Master Chef Nico Romo. He also spent some time with James Beard nominated Chef Bradford Heap at Colterra in Niwot, Colorado. Matt is excited to bring his experience and passion for his craft to Rutledge Cab Company.  Matt is a graduate of The College of Charleston and a member of the College of Charleston's Rugby Alumni Club.   While not in the kitchen, Matt can be found spending time with his wife Heather and their 2 children, Gus and Max.  He enjoys outdoor activities and exploring the culinary landscape.
