An integral part of the opening team for the bar at Standard Foods in Raleigh in 2015, he curated the beer program and tailored the cocktail list to fit the ideals of the hyper localized restaurant. Standard Foods took a hiatus to restructure, which overlapped with the birth of his beautiful daughter Lola, and Martin was conscripted in a new venture. Kentucky roots coming through, it was only fitting to find himself on board at Whiskey Kitchen. Collaborating with his “Spirit Guide” Johnny Berry Jr. on beer, wine, cocktails and everything booze related!
