Marilyn D. Ross was born in Dorchester, South Carolina, the sixth of Thomas H. Ross and Bertha L. Thomas Ross’ eleven children. She and her siblings participated in various activities on their parents’ farm, including planting and harvesting market crops, food gardening, and caring for the farm’s animals. After high school Marilyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts Education at Clemson University. Having advanced through the ranks including service as student worker, Assistant Manager, Catering Director, Associate Food Service Director, Marilyn currently is Retail Food Service Director for Aramark at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where she oversees 21+ supplemental retail food options for the University’s 28,000-plus student body. An active member of Greenville Community Christian Church, Marilyn leads the congregation’s team of 12 Media Department volunteers. In her spare time she enjoys reading, yardwork, traveling, and spending time with family.
