Marc Zera is the co-founder and head ice cream maker of Off Track Ice Cream. Located just off King Street in the heart of downtown Charleston, Off Track Ice Cream is known for its made-from-scratch, super-premium traditional and vegan ice creams. Marc puts an emphasis on sourcing ingredients locally which allows him to partner with so many talented and passionate farmers, purveyors and culinary craftsmen of our beautiful Lowcountry. He uses only clean and natural ingredients in his uniquely formulated ice cream recipes resulting in a freshly flavorful and robust treat!
It all began a handful of years ago when Marc and his wife, Alissa, started making ice cream from their home kitchen as a creative outlet and hobby. As they studied and practiced their craft, they decided to share their passion for ice cream making with others by opening their first scoop shop and production kitchen in the heart of downtown Charleston.
