Louise Rakers

Chef Louise Rakers is a professional plant based chef from Copenhagen, Denmark. Before moving to the US she traveled the world and worked in multiple different cuisines all from Thailand to Australia studying what other cultures eat and how they nourish their ecosystem. She lived in Spain where she was running plant based workshops for kids and teens. After moving to Charleston Louise opened Nordic Cooking to provide more sustainable options for the Charleston scene and now offers plant based events all over the Lowcountry.

Nordic Cooking is Charleston’s finest plant-based concept offering seasonal vegan meal boxes, culinary classes, and private chef services. Everything Nordic Cooking does focuses on the Danish word hygge that basically gives you the feeling of snuggling up on the couch on a cold winter day with hot chocolate and candles.
