grew up sailing tiny boats on Lake Erie. He moved to Charleston to meet and learn from talented people in its restaurant industry. Eventually he realized he preferred bars to kitchens, and he ran a few before his friends Edward and Marie asked him last year to help open babas, a European-style café that only serves things the three of them like to eat and drink.
