Kelly Mitchell is a Sales Representative for Skurnik Wines & Spirits, wine consultant, private Sommelier, public speaker, and wine educator. Kelly is on the Board of Les Dames D’Escoffier New York Chapter. She was featured in 2024 James Beard Award nominated book, “For The Culture: Phenomenal Black Women and Femmes in Food”. She was named on Wine Enthusiast’s 2021 40 Under 40 Tastemakers list. Kelly was also named a “Rising Black Voice in Wine” by Wine & Spirits Magazine, appearing on its October 2020 cover. Kelly made her national TV debut on NBC Nightly News in December 2022 and in 2024, received the award of “Sommelier Of The Year” at Wine & Culture Fest presented by The Hue Society for her work as a private sommelier.

Kelly is a mentor for Wine Unify and a Batonnage Forum Speaker, talent at Charleston Wine + Food Festival among others. She has been featured in articles in Wine & Spirits, Sevenfifty Daily, While Entertaining Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Martha Stewart Living, Forbes, Wine Enthusiast, NBC News, Veranda Magazine, and Vine Pair and has appeared as a guest on several podcasts. When she is not working in wine Kelly enjoys cooking, art, live music, fitness, Pilates, and travel.
