Jessica Backhus

Years of Participation

Jessica Backhus got her first taste of hospitality as a teenager when her parents opened a western-style Guest Ranch in Colorado’s Vail Valley. She fell in love with food and wine while living in the Napa Valley after college, and her interest became an obsession with all things delicious when she moved to Nashville and discovered the rich history and culture of food and beverage in the South.

As part of the opening bar team at Husk Nashville, Jessica spent 5 years learning, sharing, developing her palate and earning her sommelier certification. She went on to help open Husk Savannah before moving to Charleston to open and serve as lead bartender at Delaney Oyster House. She brings her creativity and enthusiasm to her new role at The Quinte.

In addition to her passion for hospitality, she loves nature and spends her days off exploring Charleston’s waterways in her kayak.
