Executive Chef Jason Starnes takes his love for local cuisine and true southern hospitality to Rhett at The Alida. Prior to joining the team, Chef Starnes served as Executive Chef of Barnsley Resort where he oversaw daily operations of the on-site restaurants and banquet hall. He also served as Executive Chef of South City Kitchen Buckhead where he was named one of Thrillist Atlanta’s 'Best Chefs of 2016' and Zagat's 'Under-the-Radar Chefs to Know in Atlanta.'
For more than 20 years, Starnes has found both comfort and creativity in the kitchen, and his passion for local cuisine shines through in the food he creates. A North Carolina native, Chef Starnes enjoys spending time with his family, visiting farmers markets, and enjoying good wine, great food, and exceptional company.
