James Bolt’s love for food and drink started at a young age. At 10 years old he knew he wanted to work among the industry’s best. After graduating from CIA in 2013 Bolt moved to Charleston to work at The Gin Joint. He had previously worked under Chef Sean Brock at McCrady’s to complete his formal schooling.

In 2017 Bolt took the jump from Beverage Director to Bar Owner. James credits both CIA and his time at McCrady’s for his creative approach in crafting cocktails. His ingredient-focused, culinary approach to cocktails brings unique creations to the ever-changing menu.

Bolt’s cocktails have been featured by publications like liquor.com, Imbibe, Thrillist, The Local Palate, PUNCH, and Distiller.
