Jacob Sessoms is founder and chef-partner at Perfectly Ad Hoc Hospitality Group. Sessoms opened the iconic Asheville restaurant Table in 2005, launching the first of numerous successful culinary ventures in town, including All Day Darling, a neighborhood café in Asheville’s historic Montford neighborhood. Sessoms is also behind the three food and beverage concepts within Asheville’s The Radical Hotel: Afterglow, Golden Hour and The Roof, where he oversees menu development, sourcing and operations.
Originally born in Davenport, Iowa, Sessoms grew up in Nashville, Tennessee where his dad instilled in him a love of cooking. After graduating from Warren Wilson college in Asheville, Sessoms moved to New York City to pursue a career in cooking and attend the French Culinary Institute. He lived in the city and worked under renowned chefs including Jonathan Waxman and Peter Hoffman. In 2004, he moved back to Asheville where he was a sous chef and pastry chef at Reza’s, a Mediterranean spot from Reza Setayesh. The following year, he opened his first restaurant, Table.
Sessoms extensive experience spans over 20 years of owning, operating and consulting on over a dozen different concepts. His work has earned him many accolades including a James Beard Award Semifinalist nominations for Best Chef Southeast in 2010 and Best New Restaurant for Cultura in 2020. StarChefs named him a Rising Star Chef in 2013.
