Frederick Corriher

Years of Participation

Known for both his intensity and his passion for his growers’ wines, Frederick Corriher has a unique ability to virtually transport both clients and consumers alike to the cellars and tables of France and share with them the very soul of each wine in the portfolio.
While Frederick Corriher did not grow up in the wine business, it can certainly be said that he grew up in wine. His father, Fred Corriher, Jr., taught wine appreciation courses out of his home when Frederick was very young, and wine, mostly French wine, was always on the dinner table. It was during a trip to Burgundy with his father after graduating from college in the summer of 1999 that a love affair with the French vignerons and their culture began.
After working for 3 years as a political consultant following college, Frederick entered the wine business as the wine buyer for a small wine bar/wine retail store in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. In 2004 he became the wine buyer for a large retailer before joining Robert Kacher Selections as a Regional Manager in December of 2004. It was during his 5 1/2 years with Robert Kacher Selections that Frederick learned the mechanics of the French wine import business.
Additionally, in May of 2004, Frederick was inducted into the exclusive Burgundian wine society, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin at the Château du Clos de Vougeot in France.
He lives in Charleston, South Carolina, with his wife, Lindsey Walker, and their beloved dog, Pippa.
