Born in California and raised in North Carolina, Daniel spent the majority of his childhood in the home kitchen where family gatherings took place and his love for food began, as he grew older he began to follow his passion for music touring the United States, Canada and Mexico he always found work in professional kitchens to help bridge the gap between tours. While traveling in this band he was able to partake in plenty of cuisine across these city ones and countries. Once the band was dissolved, Daniel realized the one thing that always kept him going was the love of food and how it brought people together. He began to pursue the culinary path, working full time in kitchens and enrolling in culinary school. He quickly developed his skills and landed jobs at award winning restaurants such as Wisteria Southern Gastropub in Morganton, NC and Highland Avenue Restaurant in Hickory, NC. It wasn’t long until Charlotte started knocking on the door and Daniel accepted the role of Executive Chef at DotDotDot where he brings his passion for community, locally sourced ingredients and a no waste mentality to Charlotte’s number one rated cocktail bar.
