Pulling from the roots of my upbringing in Guyana and inspired by the melting pot of Brooklyn, I create dishes that utilize multicultural ingredients and techniques.
In Guyana, my grandfather owned a small piece of land where we raised livestock and grew our own fruits and vegetables. Working closely with my family helped shape my culinary identity and develop a hands on, do it yourself, mentality.
My dishes are vibrant and colorful, drawing from Caribbean, African, Indian, and Asian influences, utilizing a playful integration of spices and seasonal ingredients that meld and find harmony together.
