Clint Sloan, owner of Clint Sloan Consulting, is a four time ('04, '05, '07, '09) Southeast regional semi-finalist in the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Young Sommelier Competition. From 2008-2009, Clint received scholarships from Cru Carneros and The Guild of Sommelier's Education Foundation to pursue his Advanced Sommelier certification, which he was awarded in 2010. By 2011, he had been named one of the top sommeliers in the country by Food & Wine magazine and was selected as the Critic's Pick for Charleston's Best Sommelier by BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival.

In 2012, after opening award-winning Husk restaurant as Beverage Director, Clint accepted a position as Regional Sales Manager for New York City-based Skurnik Wines, focusing on the Terry Theise Estate Selections. In 2015, he returned to Charleston, SC with Kysela Pére et Fils as the Southeast Sales Manager, before moving to Valkyrie Selections in 2016. With Valkyrie Selections, he shifted his focus to small production domestic wines and imports out of Spain and France.

After working for Valkyrie for two years, Clint started his own brokerage firm, partnering with various boutique importers and domestic wineries to cover an East Coast sales territory spanning Washington, D.C. to Florida. He has seen consistent year over year growth since the company's inception in 2018.
