| Chris Schoedler is Chef/Partner of Sushi-Wa in Charleston, Chris started practicing Japanese cuisine with his mentor/now business partner Kazu Murakami in 2009 at Yamato Japanese Steakhouse in Mount Pleasant, SC. The duo went on to open Sushi-Wa Izakaya in 2018 with the goal of bringing traditional Japanese cuisine to the lowcountry. Chris has a strong passion for traditional Japanese food and drink and has been working tirelessly to introduce premium Japanese sake to the Charleston market. Chris is a Sake Service Institute (SSI) Certified Sake Advisor. |
