Recently, adding to her list of achievements is her new role as the Beverage Director for Charleston Wine + Food 2022 Festival and becoming Cherry Bombe Magazine’s first Beverage Director & Editor. Her work has been celebrated for making wine more accessible, dismantling what she calls palate discrimination in food & beverage, through her initiatives including but not limited to her signature wine dinner series ‘The Communion’ which she has hosted in 5 countries. McCoy is very active these days providing virtual sommelier services and curating experiences for her wine box and travel club, Flight Cru. She continues to find ways to stay connected supporting her peers in hospitality and through her language learning initiative which provides free resources to BIPOC hospitality workers through her program, Lip Service. Which advocates for language to be used as means for upward career mobility and to unite guest and hospitality professionals to build community. With roots planted in Lisbon, Portugal, Rome, Italy, this native New Yorker is currently conspiring with chefs, winemakers, and distillers on ways to disrupt the hospitality industry on both continents and making the food and beverage more inclusive.
