Caroline Woodruff, launched her 20-year career in the food and beverage community in Boston. After making a notable stop in NYC, she found herself home in Charleston in 2014. Honing her craft at esteemed establishments like Toro, Husk, Proof and Paddock & Whisky, she's become known for her unique cocktails and guest relationships. Caroline loves conceptualizing fresh ideas,, working and collaborating with over 15 opening teams and projects. While not usually one for competitions, she challenged herself with Speed Rack twice and claimed the 2018 CHSWF Iron Mixologist title.

Driven by vibrant flavors and cultural immersions during their travels, Caroline and her partner, Aaron, embarked on a new journey founding, owning and operating Batik in 2023. Batik offers an inspired taste of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. When they aren’t hosting private dinner parties, they can be found popping up at favorite local spots like Bar Rollins and Jack of Cups. This venture allows Caroline to extend her passion for hospitality beyond the bar, infusing her love for adventure into every experience.

And when she’s not working on Batik, you can find her restoring their vintage Airstreams, Dolly & Dose, getting them tip top shape to be used for party spaces and brand activations this summer. Take the trip.
