Alyssa Mendez was raised in Charleston, SC. During family gatherings, Alyssa grew up watching her grandmother prepare delicious meals for her family. She loved how this brought her family together. This piqued her interest in becoming a Chef. Alyssa is currently a Sous Chef for Slightly North of Broadwhere she started as a line cook back in 2017. Alyssa has spent countless hours researching different cultures and their foods in order to prepare new and unique dishes with her personal touch for her guests.
